Robert Dalva edited Jurassic Park III director Joe Johnston’s films October Sky and Jumanji. He received an Academy Award nomination for editing Francis Ford Coppola’s The Black Stallion, and later directed the 1982 sequel, The Black Stallion Returns. Dalva earned his bachelors degree from Colgate University, then studied film at the University of Southern California. He edited commercials and directed education films before editing his first feature film, Lion’s Love.
